Shower Tile Renovation in Summit

Before and after shower renovation in Summit IL replacing dated tile with gray porcelain and frameless glass

This Summit shower went from a dated small-tile setup with a framed glass door to a clean large-format gray porcelain installation with frameless glass. The original blue floor tile and small wall tile were removed. The shower pan was rebuilt with a pre-sloped foam base to ensure proper drainage slope, and a full sheet waterproofing membrane was applied to all surfaces before any new tile went in. The gray porcelain wall tiles were set in a stacked pattern with a 1/16 inch grout joint to create the minimal-seam look common in updated bathrooms in the Summit area. The floor used a 12x12 slip-resistant porcelain in a matching gray tone with a linear drain running along the back wall.
