Gray Tile Bathroom Remodel in Summit

This bathroom in a Summit home was a full remodel of the wall and floor tile in a combined bathtub and shower space. The original small ceramic tile came off to reveal a standard drywall substrate that needed replacing with cement board before the waterproofing system could go in. We applied a liquid waterproofing membrane to the shower area and up the adjacent wall, then set the large-format gray porcelain wall tiles in a running bond pattern. The 3D embossed accent tile column behind the mirror niche required careful layout so the circular relief pattern aligned vertically without visible mismatches. The floor was set in a wood-look plank format to contrast with the smooth wall tile, with a 1/4 inch grout joint filled with a dark gray unsanded grout.
